The members of Miss May I are planning an auction to benefit the family of a fan who died at one of their recent concerts in New York City.

In a statement on Facebook, they explain that "something unique from the band" will be listed online in the coming weeks, with the proceeds set to go to Alberto Scott's family.

Scott reportedly collapsed after leaving the venue Miss May I was playing at Saturday night, but the band says it's waiting for the NYPD's full report to find out exactly what happened.

The Ohio rockers' new album Rise of the Lion opened at number 21 on the Billboard chart.  They said every track was written with their fans in mind, and in light of recent events, they're dedicating the record's success to the memory of Alberto Scott.
